Delivery Areas

OKipos currently delivers to the following Whyalla postcodes:

• 5600
• 5608
• 5609
• 5601 (Port Bonython/Point Lowly)

Please note: We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Delivery Fees

• Free Delivery: Orders over $50 qualify for free delivery.
• Standard Delivery: $5 for orders under $50 within postcodes 5600, 5608, and 5609.
• Delivery to 5601: $10 flat fee.

Delivery Schedule

• Standard Delivery Day: Deliveries are made every Tuesday unless an alternative arrangement has been specified with OKipos.

Delivery Procedure

• If the Recipient is Not Home: If you are not available to accept the delivery, our team will leave your items in a secure and discrete location at your property. Please note that once items are left at your premises, the risk for any loss or damage passes to you. OKipos is not liable for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they have been delivered to your specified address.

Reporting Issues

• Incorrect or Missing Items: Please check your order upon receipt and notify OKipos of any discrepancies by 5:00 PM on the delivery day. Contact details for reporting issues are available on our website or your order confirmation email.

Right to Refuse Bookings

OKipos reserves the right to refuse any booking based on a risk assessment that considers the venue’s liquor licence obligations and the potential for disturbance to neighbouring properties. This assessment ensures that all events align with community standards and legal requirements.

Minimum Spend Requirements

For private functions, OKipos has the following minimum spend requirements:

• Groups of 30 or more: Minimum spend of $1,000.
• Groups smaller than 30: Minimum spend of $500.

Note: The minimum spend amount can be applied to both bar and food purchases.

Deposit Policy

• A $100 deposit is required for bookings of 10 or more people.
• Both the deposit and minimum spend will be deducted from the final account balance at the end of the event.

Security Requirements for Private Events

For certain private events, OKipos requires additional security to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. A $400 security fee applies to the following events:

• 18th, 21st, and 30th birthday celebrations.
• Events with more than 60 guests.
• Any other event that OKipos determines requires additional security due to potential risks.

Cleaning Fees

• For 18th and 21st birthday bookings, an additional $250 cleaning fee will be applied to cover extra cleaning and maintenance costs.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 6 weeks before the event: Full refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations made between 4-6 weeks before the event: 50% refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations within 4 weeks of the event: No refund of the deposit.

Weather Policy

OKipos is an outdoor venue, and guests are encouraged to consider the potential for unfavourable weather. OKipos will make every effort to provide alternative arrangements in the event of bad weather; however, refunds for weather-related cancellations are limited to the following conditions:

• Full refund for weather-related cancellations made within one week of the event, provided that all parties agree the weather will significantly impact the event. Criteria for cancellation due to weather are as follows:
  • Temperature: Forecasted to exceed 40°C at the start of the event.
  • Rain: Greater than a 50% chance of rain, with anticipated rainfall exceeding 5mm at the event’s start.
  • High Winds: Winds exceeding 40 km/h from the north or 50 km/h from the south at the start of the event.
  • Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms forecasted to occur at the start of the event.

Patrons acknowledge that OKipos is an outdoor venue and assume the risk of unfavourable weather conditions on the day of their event.

OKipos is committed to being a respectful and considerate neighbour. We have established the following guidelines to minimise disruption and maintain harmony with our surrounding community.

Sound Management

• Live Music: No live music is permitted after 10:00 PM.
• Volume Control: All event volumes will be reduced after 10:30 PM.
• Sound Cut-Off: All sound will be turned off completely by 11:00 PM.

Event Setup and Noise Reduction

• Speaker Placement: Event organisers are encouraged to set up speakers at the main building end, facing south, to minimise noise transmission to nearby residences.
• Back Access: The back access door will be closed and locked after 9:00 PM to reduce noise and improve security.

Patron Departure

• Front Gate Exit Only: All patrons must exit the venue via the front gate.
• Respectful Departure: Patrons are encouraged to leave promptly and quietly, respecting the peace of our neighbours.
